Description
Yohimbine increases the amount of blood that is allowed to flow into the genitals. It can cause an increase in libido and may also be used as a fat burner. Yohimbine is used to treat and diagnose some types of impotence. Yohimbine, also known as quebrachine, is an indole alkaloid derived from the bark of the African tree Pausinystalia johimbe; also from the bark of the unrelated South American tree Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco. Yohimbine is an α₂-adrenergic receptor antagonist, and has been used in a variety of research projects. Yohimbine blocks alpha-2 adrenergic receptors to which adrenaline normally binds. This lets adrenaline stay in your body longer to burn fat to produce energy.
